The Best from HR: How We Do Things Differently

We would like to invite you to a conference The Best from HR: How We Do Things Differently, which we organize on November 12th and 13th, 2009 in Brno, in the Holiday Inn Hotel. Our conference will provide you with an opportunity to strengthen strategic perspective and gain practical inspiration. Our conferences have become known primarily by their technical depth, unconventional views from elsewhere, innovativeness and networking.

Perhaps you know the old legend of Dalibor of Kozojedy who learnt to play the violin bravura when he could not do anything else as he was in the prison. Let us not interpret the legend literally, especially its ending. The message in it for us is that we rise ourselves to a supreme creative performance in a critical situation. From this point of view, the current situation in our companies and organizations favours creating new things and activities which previously would be only difficult to imagine but which are purposeful. We need to decrease development expenses significantly without cheating on quality and functionality of such development. We need to search for inspiration also outside the HR area.

We will be discovering how to do things in a different way and not to become satisfied with what we have. There are more than enough knowledgeable people to talk about these issues. Our conference is bringing inspiration from inspirational people from inspirational companies. You will meet people from energy industry, IT, finance, production and commerce. These are O. Svědínková (3M), Z. Panisová (UniCredit Bank, Wien), M. Röhrich, V. Ottová and Ľ. Radosová (SPP), M. Dolinská and L. Bohunická (Slovenské elektrárne), J. Beran (BSC), I. Špiláková (PPF) and others. We will start the conference with a provocative contribution “Let Us Pour Ourselves Pure Wine: HR – Main or Supportive Process?” The program will provide us with space right on the spot to create – formulate programs and activities which are “Daliborish”. It will be Leadership Meeting in Practice workshop. Other workshops will divide us into smaller working groups.

Once again, we are preparing surprise connected with an experience for the conference. It has been already 20 years since we started to function differently in companies, with greater or lesser success. We will return to these twenty years with a theatre performance Eighty-nine – Simulator of One Revolution. As in the last year program A Company like an Orchestra and Orchestra like a Company it was not only about beautiful performance of compositions, in this year, we will get to the issues what an actor needs from a director and a director from an actor. Naturally, we will be looking at managerial parallels. We will certainly be touching motivation. And we will be looking at it in a dynamic performance of František Straka, a football trainer and motivator.
